Salento
Salento, land of meeting between the two seas, the land of sun, sea and wind ...
Beautiful coast bays alternate with fine sand to jagged rocks,
cobalt blue sea, limpid backdrops rich in life and colors.
The coast of Salento is characterized by landscapes of rare beauty, stretches of sand
alternating with stretches of rock with the Mediterranean stain to act as a protagonist:
Porto Cesareo, Porto Selvaggio, Rivabella, Baia Verde, Lido Pizzo, Mancaversa,
Torre San Giovanni, Pescoluse "Maldive del Salento", Leuca, Castro,
Santa Cesarea, Porto Badisco, Otranto, one of the most suggestive towns in Italy, extreme oriental edge, the wonderful Gallipoli, from the greek "beautiful city".
There are numerous caves that open along this stretch of sea,
ravines with rough stone, carved by wind and erosion of the sea
areas rich in relics from the Neolithic age.
The sea is, therefore, always been the most vivid expression of Salento,
his being friendly and warm as its people.
Salento is not only sea but also country, culture, art, folk dances, tradition and legend, delicious cuisine and handicrafts.
The hinterland has many beauties:
twisted trunks of olive trees by prickly pear and stone walls, the blood color of the earth and the green of the Mediterranean stain,
old farmhouses, ancient trulli or pajare, concentrated wisdom and dexterity, symbol of a country and honest civilization.

with its old town, small and large monuments, its courts,
its squares, the palaces of Episcopalian buildings and the baronial castles.
